Newmat made a substantial contribution to the $340 million vertical city campus, in which provides over 26,000 square meters of floor space!
The campus will revitalise the area’s CBD precinct, and embed the University in the economic, social and civic life of Bankstown. Located between Bankstown’s Council administration building, Library and Knowledge Centre, the campus will provide new jobs and educational opportunities within the heart of the community.
The 18 storey City Campus includes 14 floors of university teaching, learning and student services and has the capacity for up to 10,000 students and 1,000 staff.
Newmat Australia completed the installation of nearly 200m2 of translucent backlit membranes to 14 escalators. Additionally, they installed 31 oversized triangular lightboxes on both the ground floor and level 8. Newmat Australia also supplied and installed a significant ceiling feature above the escalators in our 5.35mtr extrawide translucent fabric.
